No challenge exists that I am not willing to navigate and grow from to make sure your program reaches its highest level of excellence.
With so many options in the pageantry arts and what can feel so challenging to navigate, I believe creating genuine connections that foster growth, inspire creations and build educators and students alike should be at the forefront of every project.
Having worked with all sizes and levels of programs my stance has never changed; people over paycheck.
My name is Zachary Barber, and I have been involved in the pageantry arts for almost a decade. I started performing during 2013 with Avidity independent Open at the age of 16 and marched with them until 2016. During the summer I participated in the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps during 2013-2015 and 2017. Ending out my performing career, I shared space amid many inspiring performers and educators with Lexis World in 2017. Though I loved my time performing, my passion for the activity came out when I began teaching and designing.
From being a tech and choreographer to an active show designer and coordinator, the knowledge and lessons I have learned are priceless. I have had the privilege of working groups such as the Blue Springs Golden Regiment, Academy Drum and Bugle Corps, Edmond Memorial, North Hardin, Ionic winterguard, Marcus World and many others. As a choreographer, I discovered that my greatest passion is in creating shows on many different levels. With this passion, I have since been a program coordinator and show designer for various schools and classifications across the midwest.
I am lucky enough to work with groups across the nation in the winter. Many of the groups I have the pleasure of working with compete in all classes from regional A to World and are both locally and nationally competitive. Recently, I was lucky enough to be a part of three productions that made it into the 2021 WGI Virtual Finals.
I am blessed to do what I love and be able to share space with many of you. As I grow and continue to embark on many new adventures, I hope to bring my love for creating, lifting others up, and having genuine fun to every program I’m at.
